Someren, November 1, 2024 – Else Groep proudly announces the acquisition of Structura b.v., a leading TSG injection molding company (thermoplastic foam molding). This acquisition is a strategic addition to Else Groep's existing injection molding activities, which currently take place at multiple locations. With the addition of Structura, Else Groep can offer an even wider range of high-quality plastic products.

Possibilities with TSG injection molding within Else Groep
TSG Injection molding is a technique in which chemical foaming agent is added during the injection molding process, resulting in strong, stiff and thick-walled products, such as housings, frames and technical components. We can now produce products up to 6 kg with the TSG technique, which also opens up new markets for Else Groep. Bas Bergman, General Manager of Else Groep, says about the acquisition: “We are pleased to welcome Structura to Else Groep. Their expertise in TSG injection molding will enable us to offer our customers even more high-quality plastic solutions, with the same quality and flexibility that they have come to expect from Else Groep.” Else Groep will take over both the staff and the production facility in Beringe in its entirety.

Growth opportunities
Erik Smits, the current owner of Structura, will emigrate to Portugal at the end of 2024 but will remain involved in the company in 2025 for support and advice. He is pleased to have found a party in Else Groep that fits in with Structura’s culture. “I immediately had a good feeling about Else Groep during the first conversation with Bas Bergman in May 2024, and their plans for Structura fit in seamlessly with our vision. Structura is a small company and that also made it vulnerable. The acquisition by Else Groep gives the company more opportunities to grow further and guarantees continuity for Structura, its employees and customers.”
